Everyday Poetry
by Cesca Ledesma
The anatomy of a cappuccino
dripping fever-hot from the clenched fist
of a delicate-looking stranger.
Stoic squid painting their mirage
across cumulonimbus clouds.
The glitter dripping off a monarch butterfly
as it spreads its diaphanous wings.
Perhaps the memory of honey:
curious and saccharine on the tip of your tongue.
