Ballistic Podiatry

Poetry Aug 21, 2025

by Andy Hetzel

Who’s holding who now?
Your hired power this tower not ivory sweet and sour
Who’s watching who now?
Moving pictures and tinctures to sooth the witching hour

Chapped lips and crooked teeth
Of hairy eyeballs to windfalls or skirts in bathroom stalls
Tart fruit so bittersweet
Ruthless pacing replacing and oh just one more thinG

A pin drop loud and clear, can’t wait to interfere

If you had no bars
Could you see the stars?
The stars
The stars
My obsolescent heart
Needs a hard restart
Restart
Restart

Communication gift exchange
An allegory this origin story full of glory
Black mirror takes two to play
Born of rare metals to meddle in all your life affairs

If you had no bars
Could you see the stars?
The stars
The stars
My obsolescent heart
Needs a hard restart
Restart
Restart

Paradise lost
All to forbidden Macintosh
Ten to one hundred
Left all alone and sundered

If you had no bars
Could you see the stars?
The stars
The stars
My obsolescent heart
Needs a hard restart
Restart
Restart

I am an artist, musician and spiritual seeker.
