Beacon Light

Beacon light on the shore
giving me hope
guiding me home
showing me where to go

I’ve been lost at sea
it was dark & bleak
fear clung onto me
like cold ocean breeze

Beacon light shining bright
finally in sight
cutting the night
revealed a course that’s right

Navigation was off
the crashing waves rough
thought soon I’d be sunk
battered I’d had enough
